NEW : Eco Tax

Since 2008 Montenegro followed by other neighbour countries started with applying the eco tax regime. This means that every whicle which entries in Montenegro has to pay the tax on environment, this tax is spread from 15 - 150 Euro's. Cars in generally depending on year, approximately pay 15.00 Euro's, and this lasts during the whole calendar year, which means that after You have paid the eco tax, You can entry in Montenegro countless time and not to pay this tax again during the same calendar year.

Residential tax (Montenegro):

Residential tax is obligatory for every guest who entries in the territory of Montenegro and stays at least one night. The guest is obligated in border of Montenegro to show the evidence issued by an Travel Agency and verified by local police station, if it is asked from him/her. Usually every accommodation provider is obligated to register their guests and based on details given on ID or passport of the guests to provide authorities with filled papers. This everything is the duty of accommodation provider. Residential tax is an approximate amount which is being paid by the person that out of its place of residence is using the services of accommodation in an accommodation facility in which tourist or hotelier activity is taking place (in the further text: accommodation facility).
In the sense of the particle one of this article accommodation facilities are considered to be: hotel, motel, inn, tourist apartment, rest home, camp, mountain home, room for rent, and all other facilities which provide the services of accommodation.
